Children Shows
SongBirds are working on shows to perform for children so that we may brighten their day while they are recovering from an illness or injury and are away from home.
If you know of a facility that cares for children and you think they would like to have some entertainment or if you would like to be involved in the shows please let us know.
Goulburn weekend shows
Radio Interview 2CCRFM 90.5
"On the Boards - with Geoff" a 1 hour per week radio program on Community Radio 2CCRFM 90.5 at Baulkham Hills. The Show is aimed at promoting and raising the community participation in Community Theatre primarily and also professional Theatre. SongBirds have been invited to the station for a 30 minute interview.

Christmas Parade November 2010 (Daily Telegraph)
The Sunday Telegraph Sydney Christmas Parade is now in its 4th Year. The Parade have the approval of the NSW Government & the City of Sydney, The Sunday Telegraph are the trust and the Parade owners each year they allow several charities & community groups to take part in the Parade free of charge (normal cost for sponsorship is $30.000)
The spaces are 15 meters long & height must remain under 4mts. SongBirds have been invited to attend and may build a float in the theme of Cartoon, Nursery rhyme, Christmas, Musical, or just a colourful group.
The Daily Telegraph will help us with our ideas on how our group can take part in the Parade, keeping in mind that the Parade will be on Television so visual & audio are an important factor.
At parade end which is in Tumbalong Park Darling Harbour where the after party continuous on until 7pm they have live on stage performances which SongBirds have been invited to be a part of for 15 to 20 minutes with an audience of 450,000 www.sydneychristmasparade.com

Community Spirit medal won by Susan Grant
Susan is the founder of SongBirds "not for profit" organisation that performs musical shows in nursing homes. The shows are performed by volunteers. Susan writes some of the scripts and then puts together the music for the shows. She directs rehearsals and production manages the shows. Her purpose-built garage contains the trailer and many costumes and props she has collected over the years. Susan puts her own funds into SongBirds as required. Despite having a full time job Susan does the administration for SongBirds, contacts the nursing homes and manages the calendar of monthly performances.
