My daughter Cassie has a drama assignment that she is currently working on.She had to chose one 'job' (eg lighting, costumer design, music etc) and explain why that is important in a play
I suggested Cassie email the SongBirds and perhaps the Costume Designer would be able to help her out. So Cassie did this, and Sue (I think it was) did help and provide the info that Cassie was looking for Cassie sent a reply and thanked Sue.
Now the "Songbirds" are acknowledged in her year 11 assignment
We thought that is was very nice of Sue to take the time and respond to Cassie.
Have a nice day.

My 90 year old father Mr Dennis Davis, a resident of Castle Ridge Retirement Resort, Castle Hill, attended your wonderful performance last Saturday at the clubhouse. When I visited him last Tuesday he raved on and on about how much he enjoyed your show – “I knew every song”; "They sang so beautifully”; “I wish ‘Mum’ had been here to enjoy it with me – she would have loved it” he said with a tear in his eye. He wanted me to thank you for giving him so much pleasure. He said he will ‘sing your praises’ to all the residents if you ever decide to return to give a repeat performance!!!
I thank you sincerely for sharing your wonderful gifts with the elderly. You will certainly reap your rewards.
Kindest regards
Maureen

Thank you on behalf of our residents at the Annandale Nursing home, Your team blessed them incredibly, the talent and happiness put a smile on the face's and hearts of those who were there today, many of our bed patients were able to enjoy the sounds and sing along to the tunes, I don't know if you noticed the staff hanging out of the windows listening, the response was phenomenal not only from residents but there relatives and staff members. Once again thank you so much for the wonderful effort and the generosity of your team to share the joys of music with our residents.
Much love and appreciation Angelica
Let me on behalf of the staff, relatives and residents of St Ezekiel Moreno Nursing Home thank you and your team for the wonderful entertainment that was given to us. It was a long day for the residents but I am sure they will talk about it for the next many months. Your programs are so well organised, full of variety and I have noted that you go down to the last detail to bring home the message.

Messages from cast and crew
It is SongBirds turn to take a trip down Memory Lane and reminisce over the years. I have often thought about the number of folk we have touched with our music and performances and made happy even if for a short time? since SongBirds conception it would be in the thousands.
We have given joy and we have received joy and what is even more amazing is when we return to where we have previously performed and before we even turn on a mic or open our mouths to sing the people are already smiling and waiting in anticipation of what is to come from our performance.
Some of these folk don’t remember their relatives or friends but they do remember SongBirds and the happiness and warmth they feel when we visit them.
Cheers

Perhaps a higher note reached, a few more friends made, many a tea or champagne sipped over friendly laughter, cross dressing, affairs had with judges, quick dress changes, lines forgotten, the always happy Sandy
and then there was the audience.....Faces radiated with joy, tears welled with a wash of remembrance, arms reached out for contact and connection, there has been singing and laughing, there has been appreciation of our time, anticipation of our arrival...
As I keep reflecting, the importance of what we do is again cemented and I feel blessed, as I am sure we all do.
The impact on the people we entertain is larger than I think we really know. What I do know is that what we do is important and when given genuinely and generously it can be the most beautiful and selfless and fulfilling gift!
